Dynamic, Gentle, Yoga-Pilates Fusion
We teach a mixture of gentle hatha yoga, dynamic yoga and yoga-pilates fusion. The corporate yoga classes concentrate on a flowing practice that calms the mind and nervous system, stretches and tones muscles, cleans toxins from internal organs and improves circulation and breathing.
Benefits of yoga at work
- The corporate yoga classes will help strengthen work relations by bringing colleagues together in a fun and relaxed environment. After a yoga class, participants will leave feeling calm and re-energized.
- Office yoga reduces stress and tension, enabling your staff members to be more at ease and focused at work.
- Office yoga provides stress management tools to use in the boardroom, at reception or any other of the highly stressful situations of corporate life. You will learn how to deal with stress through breathing exercises.
- The computer has become to our bodies what the loom was to the industrial revolution: Stiff necks, hunched shoulders, trapped nerves, weak stomach muscles causing lower back pain and knee pain brought on by tight hips. These bi-products of sitting down all day - or for some women standing in their favourite pair of heels - takes it's toll on our physical well being. Yoga helps alleviate and prevent these potentially permanent conditions and return the body to a healthy and fit condition.
- And who doesn’t want to look and feel good? Yoga eliminates toxins whilst you strengthen and tone the body. Toned stomachs lend themselves to better posture which means greater confidence. Just the edge you need to close the deal!
- A study on yoga by the West Indian medical journal (june 2004), reveals that the state of the mind and that of the body are intimately related. If the mind is relaxed, the muscles in the body will also be relaxed. Stress produces a state of physical and mental tension. In yoga, physical postures and breathing exercises improve muscle strength, flexibility, blood circulation and oxygen uptake as well as hormone function. Physiological benefits which follow, help yoga practitioners become more resilient to stressful conditions and reduce a variety of important risk factors for various diseases, especially cardio-respiratory diseases.
- Yoga is a weight bearing activity and is a good prevention for arthritis and osteoporosis.
